Blue & AI Terms
MIAMI POOL CONSULTANTS, DOING BUSINESS AS POOL AI · LAST UPDATED: OCTOBER 2026
In short
- Blue is an AI and can make mistakes. Its answers are general guidance, not professional advice or an inspection.
- Before adding any chemical, test your water and follow the product label. Never mix chemicals. Keep them away from children and pets.
- Pool companies must check AI drafts, translations and website text before sending or publishing them.
- To answer, Blue sends what's needed to our AI provider, Anthropic. Under Anthropic's commercial terms, that data isn't used to train its models, and we don't use it to train AI either.
1. What Blue and our AI features do
Blue is the assistant built into Pool AI. Pool AI uses artificial intelligence (AI) for:
- answering pool-care questions, including from photos of water and test strips;
- estimating chemical doses from the details you give;
- translating messages, visit reports and quotes;
- summarizing emails and suggesting to-dos and draft replies in the Inbox;
- writing website text and helping with setup;
- answering visitors in the Blue chat on company websites;
- summarizing pool codes and rules for professionals.
These Blue & AI Terms add to our Terms of Service.
2. AI can be wrong
- AI output is created automatically. It can be inaccurate, incomplete, out of date, or not right for your pool, area or situation. It may sound confident even when it's wrong.
- Blue's answers are general information. They aren't professional, engineering, legal, medical or safety advice, and they aren't an inspection or a guarantee.
- Dose estimates depend on what you tell Blue, such as pool size, readings and sanitizer. If those details are wrong, the dose will be wrong too.
- Pool codes and rules shown in Pool AI Pro are summaries. They can be out of date or not apply in your area. Always check the official code and ask your local inspector or health department.
3. Pool chemical safety
- Test your water before treating it, and again afterwards.
- Follow the product label. If Blue and the label differ, follow the label.
- Never mix chemicals, and never put them in the same bucket. Add one product at a time, as the label directs.
- Wear the protective gear the label asks for. Keep chemicals away from children and pets, and store them as the label directs.
- If someone is hurt or exposed, call 911 or your local emergency number. In the US you can also call Poison Control at 1-800-222-1222.
For your safety, Blue won't give instructions for electrical, gas or structural work. Use a licensed professional for those, and whenever you're unsure.
4. Check before you send or publish (pool companies)
- Drafts and translations. AI draft replies, summaries, to-dos and translations are suggestions. Read them before you send them. You're responsible for what goes to your customers. The original text is always available.
- Website text and review replies. Check them for accuracy before you publish. Blue is told never to invent licenses, awards, reviews, prices or guarantees, but you must check.
- Website chat. Blue chat on your website answers from the information you give Pool AI. Keep your services, areas and hours up to date. You're responsible for the facts you provide.
- Your work. Your technicians are responsible for the work they do. AI suggestions don't replace their training, testing or judgement.
5. What data goes to our AI provider
- Our AI provider. Pool AI's AI features use Anthropic's Claude models, through Anthropic's commercial service.
- What we send. For each task we send only what's needed. That could be your question or photo, the relevant pool and visit details, or the email thread you opened. We never send passwords, sign-in tokens or card numbers.
- No training. Under Anthropic's commercial terms, data sent through its commercial service isn't used to train its models. Anthropic may keep it for a limited time for safety and abuse monitoring, as its terms describe.
- We don't train AI either. We don't use your content to train AI models.
- What we keep. We store Blue conversations so you can see past answers. MPC staff may review conversations to fix wrong answers and improve Blue's instructions and pool knowledge base. When we add something to the knowledge base, we remove names and contact details.
- Email in the Inbox. An email is read by AI only when someone opens it. Information received from Google APIs is handled under the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. We don't use email data for advertising.
- Voice. Talk-to-text and read-aloud use your browser's or phone's own speech service. We receive only the text, never a recording.
Our Privacy Policy and Services we use page have more detail.
6. Using AI output
As between you and MPC, you may use the AI output you receive for your pool or your business, for example sending a reply or publishing website text. Similar questions can get similar answers, so other users may receive output like yours. Don't use AI features in ways the Acceptable Use Policy forbids.
7. Limits
To keep the service fast and affordable, Pool AI sets limits on AI use, for example the number of free questions before sign-up and daily limits. We may change these limits. The disclaimers and limits of liability in the Terms of Service apply to all AI features.
