Directory & Reviews Guidelines
MIAMI POOL CONSULTANTS, DOING BUSINESS AS POOL AI · LAST UPDATED: OCTOBER 2026
In short
- Only pool companies that subscribe to Pool AI and pass our license and insurance check are listed.
- Each ZIP code shows no more than 3 companies, so homeowners get a real choice.
- The badge means we checked the company's license and insurance. It isn't a guarantee of the company's work.
- Only real customers can leave a review, and only for a visit that actually happened. Companies can reply, but they can't delete or edit reviews.
1. What the directory is
The Pool AI directory is at mpcpoolai.com/pros, and it also appears in the Pool AI app as "pool companies near you". It helps homeowners find local pool companies. These guidelines add to our Terms of Service.
Listed companies pay for a Pool AI plan. Each plan includes 3 ZIP codes, and extra ZIP codes are available for a monthly fee. Paying for a plan gets a company listed. It doesn't buy a higher rating, and it doesn't change reviews.
2. Who can be listed
- The company has an active Pool AI Pro subscription.
- Where a license is required, the company holds a valid license for pool work in its area. In Florida, for example, that's a state pool contractor or specialty license.
- The company has current liability insurance.
- The company agrees to keep both current and to tell us within 10 days if either one lapses or changes.
3. Three companies per ZIP code
- Each ZIP code shows up to 3 companies.
- Pool AI assigns places to approved companies in the order they ask for them. When a ZIP code is full, a company can join its waitlist and gets the next place that opens.
- A company keeps its place while its subscription and that ZIP code stay active. If it removes the ZIP code, cancels, or loses its verification, the place opens for another company.
- Display order. Companies in the same ZIP are shown in an order based on a rotation that changes every day, so every company gets the same chance to be seen first. Paying more doesn't move a company up.
4. What the "Licensed & insured — verified by Pool AI" badge means
What the badge means:
- When the company joined, we checked its license with the state licensing authority.
- We reviewed its certificate of insurance.
- We record the insurance expiry date and ask for a new certificate when it expires.
What it doesn't mean:
- It doesn't mean MPC employs, endorses or guarantees the company.
- It doesn't mean we inspected the company's work or checked its prices.
- It doesn't mean the license or insurance couldn't have changed since our last check.
Before hiring, homeowners should confirm license and insurance for themselves. If we learn that a license or insurance has lapsed, we remove the badge or the listing.
5. Reviews: who can review
- Only customers of a company can rate it. They do this from their private Pool AI page, and only for a visit the company actually recorded. Each visit gets one rating.
- A review can be changed by the customer for 14 days after it's posted.
- A review should describe the reviewer's own experience. Keep it honest and relevant to the service. Don't include other people's personal information, insults or threats.
- Reviews show the customer's first name, or a shortened version of it.
6. Rules for companies
- Companies can publicly reply to reviews. Keep replies polite, and never share a customer's private details.
- Companies can't edit, delete or hide reviews.
- Companies must not write reviews themselves, or have employees, family or friends write them, and must not review competitors.
- Companies must not offer money, discounts or gifts in exchange for reviews that depend on the review being positive.
- Companies must not threaten or pressure customers over a review.
- Companies may ask all their customers for honest reviews, including through Pool AI's "ask for a review" feature.
7. Reviews on company websites
A company's directory page shows its reviews whatever their rating (newest first, reviews with comments first), except reviews we removed under these guidelines. A company's own Pool AI website may show a selection of recent reviews. Any such selection is labelled as a selection and links to the full set on the directory page.
8. When we remove a review
We may hide a review that:
- is fake, or isn't about a real visit;
- contains hate speech, threats, sexual content or private personal information;
- is about a different company, or is clearly spam;
- was given in exchange for a reward, or under pressure;
- must be removed by law or by court order.
We don't remove reviews just because they're negative. We keep a record of every review we hide and why we hid it. To report a review, email info@mpcpoolai.com.
9. When we remove a listing
We may pause or remove a listing if any of the following happens:
- the company's subscription ends;
- its license or insurance lapses;
- it repeatedly receives credible complaints;
- it breaks these guidelines, the Terms or the Acceptable Use Policy;
- the law requires it.
A company can also ask to be removed from the directory at any time.
10. Listing information
Companies are responsible for keeping their listing accurate, including their name, phone number, service areas, services, hours and photos. Text written with Blue's help must be checked by the company before it's published.
